Black August / Transforming to Meet the Moment Mass Call

Our Black August commitment means honoring the revolutionary spirit of our freedom fighters—political prisoners, prisoners of war, and exiles—who have made the ultimate sacrifice. For this year’s Black August Mass Call, we were honored to host Jalil Muntaqim (National Jericho Movement), Saleem Holbrook (Abolitionist Law Center), and our own Ronnie Amiyn (Black Men Build St. Louis).

Join us as we learn from these brothers as they share their stories of being former political and politicized prisoners, how they transformed themselves into freedom fighters for our liberation and the importance of the prison movement.
