Why Do We Have a Membership Program?
Black Men Build believes that building and attaining power is the only way that Black people will ever be able to shape our collective destiny. We must do the hard work of bringing our people together to get organized towards our goals. Developing a strong and active membership is at the core of Black Men Build’s power-building strategy.
We are building the kind of membership organization that our communities need: one that is committed and rigorous.
Membership Process
The start of building power for Black Men Build is through Membership and Dues.
The more Members that join our ranks, the more organized people we have. The more organized people that we have, the more organized resources we can bring in through dues. Collectively, members and leaders within the organization will determine how to use dues at our annual Re-Up Meeting. This process is crucial to our power building process.
